For further details on Charles BITTEN who was in the Hunts Cyclists in 1915 for 39 days was found to have a heart problem and was duly discharged from any military service.  He duly went on a train to Liverpool where he joined the Kings Liverpool Regiment and was killed a year later on the front line.  Click here for further details.  Further details – Bitten

Save the date…………..

Please pencil in next year’s date in your diaries for the PIDLEY CAR FEST.

It will be held in the same place in Pidley on David Hopkins field next to the village play area and village hall between 1200hrs and 1500hrs on Sunday the 2nd of June 2019, with set up at 1100 am

Bar opens at 1200 noon in the village hall next door and pulled pork and veggie options available for your Sunday lunch on the field. Prizes awarded for the best in class.

Please pass the information round your contacts and hope to see as many people, cars, bikes and Military vehicles as we can get together and raise a great amount for the Pidley Mountain Rescue Team.

Remembrance Display Opening – 1000hrs 3rd Nov 2018

On Saturday the 3rd of November 2018 from 1000hrs to 1600hrs there will be a display opening inside the church. The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Roger Herriot DL, is coming to formally open the display which will run for three weeks either side of the 11th Nov.
