The Pidley Scarecrow Festival – This is our first event which the Wilderspin’s are hosting. They are asking all to join in. There will be straw by Lee’s logs the week leading up to the bank holiday so that you can embrace your creative flair and build your best scarecrow!
This will be judged by four of our life long residents and prizes will be given!
The Parish Council are looking for four or more volunteers from the village to form a group with a remit of seeking ways to reduce the excessive number of lorries travelling through Pidley and Fenton. The group would hopefully exchange views via email and meet once a month with a councillor to discuss ideas and make recommendations to the Parish council. Household Recycling Centre continues to be busy, with queueing at peak times still necessitating the road closure. However, this is causing considerable inconvenience to local residents and businesses – and requires HCV traffic to divert through the restricted
