Household Recycling Centre

Dear all

The Bluntisham Household Recycling Centre continues to be busy, with queueing at peak times still necessitating the road closure. However, this is causing considerable inconvenience to local residents and businesses – and requires HCV traffic to divert through the restricted high Street in Bluntisham. This cannot continue indefinitely.

Therefore, in line with some other sites, from Monday 22nd June, visitors to the Bluntisham Recycling Centre will need to book a slot in advance. This will reduce the number of vehicles arriving at any one time and after a few days of adjustment, allow the road closure to be lifted.

Details are below. Please disseminate as widely as possible. Once waste volumes reduce and distancing is no longer necessary, the system can return to normal.

Information on the booking system is on the waste pages of the CCC website here:

https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/waste-and-recycling/household-recycling-centres

and bookings slots can be made by going through the webpage here:

https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/waste-and-recycling/booking-system-for-e-permit-holders

Residents without internet access can make a booking by calling our contact centre on 0345 045 5207
